My latest cover is a penguin with an umbrella in the rain. I liked the tree with the individually cut out leaves and wanted to use the technique in another way. The rain drops are individual pieces of felt, giving the cushion a great texture and I hope you’ll agree that the little penguin is adorable. He knows how to enjoy bad weather!
This cushion is to celebrate the arrival of Spring! Cutting out the leaves was time consuming and a little painful but I think the effect is worth it. Besides, the bird needed somewhere to shelter until the rain stopped and when he asked me to build him a tree, I couldn’t say no.
I hope you like it!
